Ron Ruth is a Kansas City native, a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School and attended Emporia State University as a theatre arts major.

DJ'ing was a hobby for Ron until he accepted his first paying job in 1988. He enjoyed that "on stage" experience so much that he worked part-time for others until starting his own company in 1990. Since then, he has garnered the respect of his peers and hundreds of Kansas City Brides and Grooms as a consummate wedding professional and an extremely knowledgeable and proficient Wedding Entertainer and Master of Ceremonies.

Ron is also a recognized leader in the DJ industry. In 2001, he gathered a local group of competing DJ business owners with the collective purpose of improving the industry's business ethics, public perception and professionalism in the Kansas City DJ market. That group became the Kansas City Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association with Ron serving as President from 2002-2004. In 2005, he was elected by the ADJA membership to the National Board of Directors.  

In 2007, Ron passed the stringent business and talent acumen required for acceptance into the Wedding Entertainment Directors Guild™, a select group
of the country’s most talented Wedding Entertainers. He now has the distinction of being the only DJ in the central Midwest to earn the certification and title of Wedding Entertainment Director™ and serves as a member of the WED Guild™ Board of Advisors.

To excel at any craft, Ron knows that one must devote as much time as possible to ongoing education in their field. That is why he embraces innovation and constantly strives to improve his service and skill by seeking out and learning from experts in the event and wedding industry. It is common for him to attend 3-4 national conferences and workshops every year. This added effort allows him to remain ahead of wedding industry trends and better capable of providing his couples with a creatively unique, entertainment experience.

Ron is the author and key presenter of 2, highly acclaimed wedding workshops for engaged couples entitled “The MAGIC Behind An Extraordinary Wedding Celebration!” and the “The Best Groom…Ever!”  He also wrote and presents a much touted customer service seminar for wedding professionals, "Disney's 3 Keys To Success And Your Wedding Business." And, Ron is a staff writer for "Disc Jockey News," a national publication focused on the DJ industry.

Ron and his wife, Debbie, live in Blue Springs, MO with their cat, Tillie.
